Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-04-28
By using FiftyCAL you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
What you get
A macOS app that records sessions of your screen, audio, and input events and turns them into transcripts + bundles. A free tier covers NoScope (audio-only). Paid tiers unlock Quickscope, Hardscope, and the marketplace. Your license is good for 3 Macs at a time; deactivate one inside Preferences → License.
What we provide
The macOS app (FiftyCAL.app), updates via Sparkle, and the optional cloud account that syncs your stats + leaderboard rank across Macs. We aim for 99% uptime on the cloud surface; cloud outages do not affect your local recording, only sync.
License keys
One license key per purchase. License keys can activate up to 3 Macs simultaneously; deactivating a Mac frees a slot. Sharing a license key beyond your own Macs is not allowed and may result in license revocation.
Refunds
14 days, no questions asked. Email [email protected] with your order number. See the refund policy for details.
What you can't do
- Resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app for commercial gain.
- Use FiftyCAL to record people who haven't consented (where you live, this is probably already illegal).
- Use FiftyCAL to generate output that violates our subprocessors' terms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, Cloudflare).
- Try to bypass the license-key activation system.
Liability
We provide FiftyCAL "as-is" without warranty. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Total liability is capped at the amount you paid for your license in the past 12 months. Local consumer law may give you stronger rights — those override anything here.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll email registered accounts at least 14 days before material changes take effect.
Governing law
Australia (NSW). Disputes resolved in the courts of New South Wales unless your local consumer law dictates otherwise.
